On Monday May 5 we open our doors! The Office will be open all day for viewing of movies and use of the reading room. Dinner will last from 6 to 8 pm.

On Monday evening at 8 pm Kate Linhardt, an American Culture major at Vassar College and a very talented filmmaker will present her documentary entitled “Crazy Wisdom” about the Jack Kerouac School of Disembodied Poetics at Naropa University

Naropa’s writing program was founded by Allen Ginsberg, Anne Waldman, and Chogyam Trungpa Rinpoche in Boulder, CO in 1974. The school’s Buddhist leanings, unconventional philosophies, and all-star literary celebrity faculty put them on the proverbial counter-cultural map. “Crazy Wisdom” is the story of the school’s founding and its evolution.

Opening the night will be a short film by Aidan Tumas and James Roehl entitled “Jamboree.”

Admission to the screenings is free.
